Ceramic Coating Installation Process: 5 Professional Steps
See the owner-operated ceramic coating process at Pristine Clean, from washing and paint preparation through controlled indoor application and aftercare.

1. Wash and decontaminate the vehicle
The surface has to be clean before coating. Washing removes loose contamination; additional chemical or mechanical decontamination is used when bonded material would interfere with polishing or coating preparation.
2. Inspect the paint before choosing a polishing process
A new vehicle can still have dealership wash marks, transport contamination or isolated defects. An older vehicle may have years of swirls and oxidation. We inspect first so the polishing recommendation matches the actual paint rather than automatically selling the most aggressive option.
3. Refine the finish before protection
Polishing improves the appearance that will remain beneath the coating. The goal is to create a clean, glossy surface while preserving clear coat. The required correction level varies by vehicle and package.
4. Prepare, apply, level and cure the coating indoors
After polishing and final surface preparation, the coating is applied panel by panel inside the studio, leveled and inspected under controlled lighting. The initial cure is managed according to the coating system while the vehicle stays protected from water and contamination. A typical Pristine Clean appointment takes about 2.5 to 3 days depending on paint condition, correction needs and package scope.
5. Deliver the vehicle with realistic maintenance guidance
A coating makes maintenance easier but does not make paint scratch-proof or maintenance-free. Owners receive guidance on washing, drying, contamination and when professional maintenance is useful so the coating can perform as intended.
